Suge Knight has been ordered by Superior Court Judge Ronald Coen to stand trial for murder and attempted-murder charges,
after killing a man with his pickup truck and seriously injuring another back in January during a hit-and-run on the set of Straight Outta Compton
The ruling comes after testimony from Cle “Bone” Sloan, who told detectives that he fought Knight at the time but refused to cooperate later in fear of being a “snitch.” He has since given cloudy details of the events, deeming the judge to rule his account as deceptive. Sloan suffered two fractured ankles, two torn knee ligaments, and shoulder/head injuries the day of the incident.
Although Knight’s bail has been reduced to $10 million (from $25 million), he faces life in prison if convicted. The former Death Row Records mogul has a list of prior felony convictions and gang ties since becoming a record executive with the launch of his label.
