With Miami winning the championship and Lebron finally getting his ring, the NBA off season is ready to kick into gear.
But before the free agency craze and big trades begin, it’s time for what us hoops fans have been waiting for, the 2012 NBA Draft. Tonight’s draft kicked off as expected, with first pick New Orleans Hornets drafting University of Kentucky forward Anthony Davis. Much talk surrounded the Charlotte Bobcats 2nd pick, which was Kentucky’s Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, making it the first time in NBA draft history that the first two picks came from the same school. At 3rd pick, Washington gets their shooter to team up with point guard John Wall, drafting Florida guard Bradley Beal.

Rounding out the top 10, picks include Kansas forward Thomas Robinson to Sacramento, UConn’s Andre Drummond to Detroit, Tar Heel Harrison Barnes to Golden State, and New Orleans drafting Duke guard Austin Rivers.

Any Reaches? Of course. Sleepers? Definitely.
