One of the most iconic independent sneaker brands is making a comeback in a major way.
Former New York Knick superstar Patrick Ewing jumps back in the sneaker game after years of demand with the relaunch of his shoe company Ewing Athletics. Patrick Ewing was the first NBA superstar to step outside of the major sporting shoe brands like Nike & Adidas for a signature shoe and decided to start his own independent shoe company. Ewing Athletics had a great first run and is one of the most successful independent sports brands of all times.
Yesterday, Pat talked to NBA TV about the relaunch of Ewing Athletics and also gave an official release date for the first model being retroed, the “Ewing 33 Hi”. The 33 Hi will release on Patrick’s 50th birthday , August 5th . They will be available at all major sneaker retailers in a variety of colorways. Make sure your ready, these may go quick.
