Before the Compton rapper released his major studio album back in October, there was a lot of discussion about whether the project would sell to the masses.
Shortly after the world heard the album that is good kid, m.A.A.d city, those doubts were safely put out of topic by pretty much amazing the majority of listeners. The success of the album has now been reiterated by officially reaching gold status with the total sale of over 500,000 copies on December 13th. As a reminder, the album stands firm by having the best first-week sales record of the year from a male hip-hop artist.
