Miami-based 8and9 Streetwear caught up with the facilitator and legendary internet mogul, DJ Folk in Rome, Georgia.
If you don’t know who Folk is, he’s the man behind some of your favorite artist like Young Jeezy, Big K.R.I.T. and Jigg’s career along with The Olympicks as well and working with Tunechi and Birdman’s past, present and future projects. For nearly 10 years, Folk has been one of the people behind the scenes putting them streets (ourselves including) onto the hottest up and coming artist.

Known for being an official sneaker head, DJ Folk discusses the history of them Jordan sneakers that people lost their lives over back in the day which was a bad epidemic during the time. He cites 8and9 clothing as one of the places he goes to whenever J’s come out to keep his fashion game on point. He then transitions to discussing A. Jayones of the G-14 producing team and how he’s came a long way in which we can look out for him being featured on some of the biggest artist in the games upcoming albums.
The interview concludes with Folk touching on some of the projects he’s working on from Jeezy, Weezy and Birdman and discusses his upcoming “The Folk Tape: The Ascension”which we can expect to see Young Jeezy, Tunechi, Jigg, Joey Fatts and Dusty McFly to name a few.
