It’s about time! Tonight sources are reporting that the Denver Nuggets have hired Brian Shaw to be the teams new head coach.
This is a longtime coming for Shaw who has been a top candidate for a lot of jobs, but just never got over the hump. Shaw is heading to a strong situation in Denver that has a strong young nucleus of young players mixed with some key veterans. Though he was brought up under legendary coach Phil Jackson with the Lakers, sources say that Shaw will not run Jackson’s patented triangle offense in Denver.
Details are not yet known of his deal, but with the NBA draft coming later this week Shaw is likely to jump right into work with his new team. Congratulations to Brian and his family!
