It was big news when the NFL announced that the Super Bowl would be heading to the the New York area, but they recently took some of the luster away revealing that tailgating before the game would not be allowed.
It is unclear if people attending the game were going to tailgate in the first place, but it is in the tradition of football and especially in New York. The NFL is claiming that due to security reasons, they must suspend tailgating to provide adequate space for checking of cars.

Also in another unusual rule about attending the game, you must get dropped off at the game, but not in a taxi, black car or by foot. It seems rather ridiculous, but safety is always the number one concern especially with an event as big as the Super Bowl. Now the NFL just has to worry about it snowing on game day.
