On the release date of his sixth studio album Mastermind, Rick Ross granted Elliot Wilson the next installment for his CRWN interview series for MySpace.
In the sit-down, things open up with the discussing the reasoning for his album title, which he wanted to release a renascence-like body of work catering to his fans from Port of Miami to present.

With Puff Daddy as the mastermind behind-the-boards, Ross wanted to create aChronic and Doggystyle similarity for the album, having intermissions and skits verses song sequences following each other. There are obvious Biggie comparisons to Ross working with Puff, but the 305-rapper went to make it clear he’s never trying to use Frank White’s legacy to further his career; but only keep his name alive and relevant in the game for the new generation.

Watch all of the above mentioned, ending beef with Young Jeezy, reasoning for signing with Def Jam through Jay-Z and L.A. Reid to build MMG and more.
