Following the release of his debut album My Krazy Life, YG made his way to “The World’s Most Dangerous Morning Show”, The Breakfast Club with DJ Mustard.
Things opened up with Charlamagne bringing up recent comments made by Russell Simmons revealing “My Nigga” was his favorite track at the moment. They revealed meeting each other through Ty Dolla $ign in their teens essentially marking out the blueprint for current LA and now rap takeover.

DJ Mustard revealed he got into music learning how to do proper production from Ty, and revealed his name came behind his real life name Dijon. Things transitioned to how the “Who Do You Love?” track came about, revealing he ran into Drake twice during 2012 shows with Nipsey Hu$$le with Drizzy reaching out being a fan of his work. The N.W.A. film was brought up, which YG’s currently being casted to potentially play MC Ren but remained adamant and surprised they even mentioned the big news.

Check below for more on the interview including how people treat him now in LA compared to before, how the West Coast didn’t compromise their original sound and more.
