The hole keeps getting deeper for Donald Sterling and his sit-down with Anderson Cooper has officially made things worse.
In his first interview since the controversy, Sterling was hoping to clear the air and apologize for his racist remarks. Unfortunately, that’s the opposite of what he did, going at Magic Johnson for a good bulk of his talk on AC360 and profusely claiming he is not a racist.
He admitted that he may have been fooled by V. Stiviano because he has heard that she may have been recording him for over two years and says he was “baited” into saying those things because he mostly discusses ideas, not people.

Well, what kind of a guy goes to every city, has sex with every girl, then he catches HIV? Is that someone we want to respect and tell our kids about? I think he should be ashamed of himself. I think he should go into the background. But what does he do for the black people? He doesn’t do anything.
He claims Magic doesn’t do anything for the African-American communities, but he is the one helping minorities. According to Sterling, MJ hasn’t done anything.
After this interview, the backlash should for Sterling should only increase. The NBA needs to act quick in terms of outing him as owner, because this is quickly spiraling out of control. We wouldn’t be surprised if the players went on strike soon. Ultimately, Sterling says he will do as the NBA says and he will stand behind their decision and ruling, because it’s not worth fighting over with lawyers and courts.

What do you think of Donald Sterling’s comments with Anderson Cooper?
