It was disappointing watching Donald Sterling’s interview with Anderson Cooper yesterday, because it seemed as if he was blind to everything he was saying and not realizing that he was digging himself a deeper hole that he was in when he started.
He should have just admitted what he said and acknowledged he’s a racist, apologized and called it a day. Instead, we’re now seeing the story spiral out of control.

One person that’s taken a bulk of the heat in this entire fiasco has been Magic Johnson, who sat down with Cooper following yesterday’s interview, to respond to the comments Sterling made about him and tell his side of the story.

As you’d expect, Magic kept things cool and expressed how disturbed he was after hearing his interview, then emphasized how uninformed Donald is with his remarks.

Magic also mentioned that he didn’t know Sterling aside from basketball conversations, but was aware of the allegations that were made against him through the lawsuits. One thing is for sure, he never thought it would go to this level.
It’s sad. It really is. I’m going to pray for this young man. I hope Donald can see the mistake that he has made and also the people that he’s hurt along the way… what’s really sad is, it’s not about me. This is about the woman you love outing you and taping you and putting your conversation out here for everybody to know. That wasn’t me. I didn’t do that. I don’t know this young lady. This is between you two, but then he wants to include me.
