Young Thug confirms that Lil Wayne will continue releasing albums following "Tha Carter V", and expresses his desire to continue the iconic album series.

Young Thug has been pretty up-front about Lil Wayne's influence on his music, voicing that pairing with Birdman's Rich Gang team is something of a dream come true for him. Ever since getting in with the Cash Money camp, Thug has been adamant about continuing Wayne's legacy alive, announcing that his next album will be titled, Tha Carter VI.

He spoke on his decision to go with the title in a recent interview with MTV, revealing that despite Weezy's retirement claims, the Cash Money rapper will be releasing more material following Tha Carter V. "Wayne coming out with more albums so I don't know if he'll name one Tha Carter VI," said Thug, suggesting that Wayne still had first dibs on the title. "It depends what he names his album."
However, if he gets the go ahead, Thugger is more than happy to keep the series going well past the sixth installment. "He did 1 to 5, I'm gonna do 6 to 10", revealed Thug with a grin.
