So far, Beats Music has failed to capitalize on its market share in the music streaming business,
withSpotify holding suck a chokehold. But that can change very quickly. After it’s Apple buy out earlier this year, it looks as if Tim Cook and company are planning to make their streaming service a household name and pack it on every iPhone (like that U2 album?) by next year.
There have been reports that Apple would merge Beats Music as part of iTunes and discontinue the company altogether, but it seems as if the latest news would bundle the platform into an iOS update by as early as March, 2015. Whether that will get people to subscribe is a different story.
With Youtube getting their feet in the game as well, Apple might have to do a lot of marketing to convert people to the dark side, maybe even undercutting the price of Spotify.
