Although the label might have semi-botched the release to Kendrick Lamar‘s To Pimp A Butterfly album the day it was released online (one week ahead of schedule),
the fans have spoken and made it clear that King Kendrick rules the charts this week. K Dot’s sophomore effort is officially debuting number one on Billboard, selling an estimated 318,988 copies in its first week out. Not only that, but it adds to the news it broke the Spotify record for most global streams in one day. 
This marks Kendrick’s first number one album, considering good kid m.A.A.d city debuted at number two when it first dropped back in 2012. The album went on to go platinum and be critically acclaimed as a classic in Hip-Hop, taking Kendrick to a new plateau in music.
