Tensions were high going into Monday night’s Miami Heat vs. Phoenix Suns game, mostly because Goran Dragic
wanted to stick it to his old team, but who would have thought that more players would engage in such a physical battle? Three players were ejected.
After Markieff Morris was ejected after a hard foul on a breakaway layup against Dragic, Hassan Whiteside and Alex Len got into it following a put-back dunk. This led to shoving and a leg wrap by Whiteside, successfully bringing Len down to the floor and starting a rush by players from both teams to break away the two involved.
Both players received technicals and were ejected shortly after.
With two of the Suns’ main players ejected for the rest of the game, the Heat cruised to a victory at home thanks to great effort by Dragic who ended with 21 points on the night.
FINAL: MIA 115 | PHX 98
