After months of waiting on ESPN’s “Madden NFL 25” fan cover vote, the two finalists were Barry Sanders and Adrian Peterson.
During the entire voting process, over 40 million votes were cast, with the old school beating the new school in polls.

The finale was no different with Sanders edging out Peterson with 58% of the voting for the 25th Madden anniversary cover rights.
This marks the second consecutive year we’ll see a Detroit Lions athlete on the cover for Madden (first time in history); which last year featured star wide-out Calvin “Megatron” Johnson. Johnson didn’t get injured but the Detroit finished tied for the worst record for the NFC in comparison to making the playoffs the previous year.

The Lions upgraded their running-back depth signing free agent Reggie Bush, but we’re curious if the team will have a positive sophomore jinx for a deep playoff push to end the curse. The next few weeks leading up to e3 will be some of the longest or the hardcore audience who are curious to get a glimpse at what to expect this fall.
